SCIENTIFIC AND EDUCATIONAL INTELLIGENCE OF UKRAINE IN CONDITIONS OF PERESTROIKA: SEARCH OF NATIONAL EDUCATIONAL PARADIGM

Abstract

The article provides a scientific review of the problems of the search for the national-educational paradigm by the scientific and educational figures of Ukraine in the context of the implementation of the policy of perestroika, outlining the tasks faced by the intelligentsia in adapting the educational process to the requirements of the time. The process of restructuring caused debate in the scientific and educational sphere, led to the search for a new teaching methodology, exacerbated the linguistic question, the introduction of repressed authors’ works nto the curriculum and the «new» reading of already well-known ones began. The author describes the main language problems that were actualized with the adoption of the «Law on Languages in the USSR» in 1989. Search, innovation and rethinking constitute the «spirit» of perestroika, which actively involved the scientific and educational intelligentsia.
