Abstract

Research of the national cultural-historical heritage, in particular, sights of architecture and art, connected with the life and activity of well-known figures of the past, is an important factor in the development of the historical memory of the people and the formation of national consciousness. The article analyzes the history of the creation of a unique monument of the palace-park art of the Left-bank Ukraine of the end of the XVIII-th - the beginning of the XIX-th century - an ancestral estate of representatives of the ancient Ukrainian genus Galagans in Sokirintsy in the Chernihiv region. It belongs to one of the four palace and park ensembles of Ukraine, preserved to this day practically in its original form and Sokyrynsky park is almost fifty years attributed to the monument of garden art of national significance. The question of the history of the development of palace and garden-park architecture in the Left-Bank Ukraine in the late XVIII - first half of the ХІХ century devoted to intelligence O.Yu. Biryova, M.M. Budzar, N. Hassanova, L.I. Gorenka, I.O. Kosarevsky, V.I. Timofiyenko, V.Yu. Yerosheva, L.S. Shevchenko and others. The development of an Empire style estate with a refined palace and garden park was carried out by talented architects and gardeners who sought to combine the style features of architectural and landscape planning with the features of the local landscape. The Sokyryntsi estate of the Galagans for its artistic value and architectural and artistic value is an important component of the historical and cultural heritage of the Ukrainian people.
