Abstract

First Prince of Pereyaslavl Vsevolod Yaroslavych actually started the tradition, according to which in the future princes (his descendants) viewed their transition to the throne of Pereyaslavl as a prerequisite to their classes in the future the throne of Kyiv. This perception of Pereyaslavl reign was due primarily to its sacral and symbolic meaning, that is, ideas about the sacredness of the city inherited from the Bulgarian Preslav Great. Vsevolod Yaroslavych did very much for everything Pereyaslavl of Rus’ and deepening its sacral status. He turned the unfortifi ed settlements surrounded by half-an earthen fort in signifi cant political, economic and religious center of Kievan Rus’. His followers until Yuri Volodymyrovych continued to equip Pereyaslavl.
