Abstract

End XVIII – beginning of XIX century. was a period of great political change and social transformation in Ukraine, fi rst of all caused a new geopolitical situation, which consisted in Central and Eastern Europe. At the end of the XVIII century. due to socio-economic and military backwardness and political anarchy inglorious ceased to exist once powerful Commonwealth, which included signifi cant part of Ukrainian lands. In southern Crimean Khanate collapsed aggressive, which since the end of the XV century. their attacks constantly threaten the population of Ukraine. In connection with these changes, the state, which signifi cantly infl uenced the course of events in Ukraine and Ukrainian lands because it began to take a new political confi guration.
