SOCIAL STRUCTURE AND EDUCATIONAL LEVEL OF ZEMSTVO TEACHERS OFСHERNIHIV PROVINCE IN THE LATEXIX CENTURIES

Abstract

The article analyzes the peculiarities of the educational level and social status of Chernihiv province zemstvo teachers in the late XIX centuries. Focuses on the conditions of the level of wages, the causes of the fluidity of teaching staff, the social benefits of recruiting, the requirements for educational and qualification levels. Installed that at the end of the XIX century on the Ukrainian land that was part of the Russian empire was lack of qualified teaching staff for public schools. It was found that one of the most effective ways to solve this problem was to hold congresses for teachers to improve their qualifications.
